UI/UX Designer for Video Publishing & Analytics Dashboard
LongTail Video, maker of the JW Player, is seeking an exceptional user interface / user experience designer to design the next generation of the JW Player's video publishing & analytics dashboard. Candidates for this project must have experience designing simple interfaces that solve complicated problems, be able to self-manage their work, and be capable of both UI and UX design. Prior experience with video publishing and/or data visualization are highly valued. This is anticipated to be a six month engagement.
Goals of This Project Include:
• Dashboard that can scale across publishers of many sizes (1-20 users)
• Simple, clean web 2.0 interface that opens the publishing experience to video novices, while continuing to support experts
• Engaging, fun experience that encourages users to interact with the system and drive usage
• Data visualizations that provide information-rich reports without overwhelming the user
• Optimized user-funnels that maximize retention, upgrades, and virality
For This Project, You Will:
• Lead the entire user interface design lifecycle: concepts, IA, wireframes, visual design, and interaction design
• Work closely in-office with our product management, engineering and QA teams
• Establish and maintain design standards across the interface
• Focus intently on usability, leveraging rapid prototyping and continuous user feedback |
